Fiji U23 football team to play build-up matches in Singapore

The Vodafone Fiji Under 23 Football side will tour Singapore to play build-up matches against the Singapore Olympic team next month.

This has been confirmed by Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel.

Patel says the team will play two test matches against the Singapore Under 23 side as part of their build-up for the 2019 OFC Olympic Qualifiers next month.

Patel adds a twenty member squad with six officials would be leaving our shores for the tour.

The Marika Rodu coached side will play its first match on September 6 and second on September 9.

Fiji Under 23 team is currently in camp in Ba preparing for OFC Olympic Qualifiers to be held in Fiji from September 21st to October 5th.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Premier League continues this weekend with Nasinu taking on Nadi tomorrow at 3pm at the Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour.

In other matches, Ba will meet Tavua at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Ba at 3pm tomorrow, Labasa play Lautoka at Ganilau Park at 3pm on Sunday while Suva will battle Rewa at 3pm at the Uprising Sports Center at the same time.
