It’s expected to be an exciting atmosphere when the Fiji Football Women’s Inter District Championship kicks off in Suva on Friday.

Fiji FA women’s director Susan Wise says all the teams have met the qualification standard and have been performing well in the league.

“They have qualified to come into the competition on merit. This is based on their performance in the Vodafone Women’s National League. Of the seven teams in the South which participated in the league in 2018, four are part of this IDC, in the West there are five teams three have made it into the IDC and Labasa is the only team from North.”

Meanwhile, Ba leads Pool A together with Navua, Nadi and Tailevu Naitasiri while Suva takes in-charge of Pool B with Rewa, Tavua and Labasa.

The IDC will be from Friday to Sunday at Fiji FA Academy ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
