Former Fiji football captain Remueru Takiate is set to miss the friendly international matches against New Caledonia and Mauritius next month.

Takiate will be in the Fiji Police Force camp for the next four months.

The rugged defender together with mid-fielder Shahil Dave will also not be part of the Suva football in the Vodafone Premier League.

Dave who joined the Police force last year will also be in camp.

Meanwhile, in the VPL matches this weekend, Labasa plays Nadi at 1.30pm on Saturday at Subrail Park.

Two matches will be played on Sunday at 3pm, Tavua meets Nasinu at Garvey Park and Lautoka faces Rewa at Churchill Park.
