Suva to rely on key players against Lautoka

August 16, 2019 5:08 am

Following their defeat in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants semi-finals last weekend, Suva will once again face Lautoka for their Vodafone Premier League match this Sunday.

Suva Football Coach Kamal Swamy says the team has been training with Ravuama Madigi to improve on their shortcomings.

He says the key players for the team include Gagame Feni, Jackie Reuben, Laisaia Raura and Epeli Leiroti.

“In Fiji fact the key players were Gagame Feni and Reuben. And in defense the national defenders Laisaia Ruera and Tekiyata. And then in the mid-field is Lairoti who can make the difference for them. So if Madigi has worked with them then it will be a big difference for Suva.”

Swamy has urged the players to show a better performance for their upcoming match.

Suva takes on Lautoka at the Uprising Beach Artificial Turf on Sunday at 3pm in their next VPL match.

In other VPL matches, Rewa plays Nadi at the Artificial Turf at 1pm on Sunday while Labasa will take on Ba at 3pm at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Ba tomorrow.
