FIFA Women’s World Cup an opportunity for Fiji

Australia and New Zealand has won the bid to host the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Fiji FA believes this is an opportunity for a team from the Pacific to qualify.

Fiji FA president and FIFA Council member Rajesh Patel congratulated both New Zealand Football and Football Federation Australia.

This would mean one of the team from the region would be seen in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.

Patel says with New Zealand as the host, there will be one more team from the Oceania which will be given chance to be part of the tournament.

Patel gave assurance to both Australia and New Zealand Football that Fiji FA will give its full support.
