Ba FC needs a healthy win margin to qualify for Quarter-final

March 1, 2019 5:10 am

Ba FC officials and its fans face a nervous wait with their teams’ fortunes still hanging in the balance heading into its deciding match against Samoa’s Kiwi FC this afternoon in Vanuatu.

Ba must defeat Kiwi FC by a healthy margin in today’s opening game in order to leapfrog Erakor in the standings, before the hosts take on the table topping team Wellington to conclude proceedings in Vanuatu.

Ba suffered a narrow 2-nil defeat to Team Wellington last weekend and held Erakor Golden Star 1-all on Wednesday, to keep its hope for quarter-final qualification alive.

Ba FC coach Ronil Kumar says the first objective for his side is to win, and win well to improve their goal difference in case they end up with the same points as Erakor.

Meanwhile, Ba FC will take on Samoa’s Kiwi FC at 3pm today and you can watch the tournament live on FBC Sports.
