He adds the tournament was meant to be an exposure for the players but they managed to win their second match against Honduras.
“The boys’ performance was fantastic and as i said for first timers, Fiji should really be proud of them because it has taken New Zealand ten years to win their first ever game in the under 20 World Cup. So for Fiji to do it in their first outing against a very good side from Concacaf is a great achievement.”
Meanwhile, the team lost its last group match against Uzbekistan 3-0 while the side had earlier defeated Honduras 3-0 and lost 8-1 to Germany in their first match.
