Fijian players arrested in France

Fijian players, Waisea Nayacalevu and Josaia Raisuqe who play for Stade Français in France, are in Police custody for alleged willful violence and sexual assault.

A complaint was lodged against the duo on Saturday night.

French website, L’Equipe states, the two are still in custody at a police station in Paris.

They are both accused of allegedly involuntary violence while drunk and Raisuqe, who turned twenty-three yesterday, is also under an alleged sexual assault complaint.

It is alleged, the two wing men, who were leaving a nightclub, accompanied by a third unidentified person, allegedly docked a young woman, smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive, John O’Connor says he is not aware of the incident and will comment once he gets confirmation from the authorities in France.
