The Vodafone Fiji women’s football side is bracing for an uphill battle in an international friendly against Samoa this afternoon.

The match is a buildup towards the Oceania Nations Cup in New Caledonia next month.

Coach Marika Rodu says the players have gelled in well in camp and they have been working on their game plan.

“We taking this gam seriously and our preparation is going on well according to our plans and it’s going to be an exciting game this afternoon.”

The Samoan side arrived into the country yesterday.

Fiji plays Samoa at 3pm at the Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba today.
