Fiji U20 in high spirits

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 football side is on its way to New Zealand for the OFC President’s Cup.

The side wrapped up its Australia tour last night with an impressive 4-3 win over Newcastle Jets.

Fiji team coach, Ravinesh Kumar, says the team is in high spirits and the players have been enjoying their stay.

“To all the parents, coaches, team officials of these players and friends, please don’t worry about the players, they are safe and sound. Together with that, the Fiji Football officials of Iosefo Vosaboto, Varoon Karan and Frank Farina, we are looking after the boys very well and they are all enjoying their stay.”

The Fiji U20 will be playing Amicale in its opening match at the President’s Cup on Monday at 7.30pm.

The second pool match is against Busaiteen of Bahrain next Friday at 7.30pm.
