The Vodafone Fiji football women’s team has qualified to the semi-final of the OFC Nations Cup thumping Tonga 12-nil in its second pool match in New Caledonia.

Luisa Tamanitoakula scored four goals, Cema Nasau plus Sofi Diyalowai got a hat-trick and Trina Davis managed to get two goals as Fiji secured its second straight win.

The Marika-Rodu-coached side led 9-nil at half time.

The side faces New Zealand in its final pool match at 7pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the finalists of the OFC Nations Cup will qualify for the FIFA Womens World Cup in France.
