The Fiji Pearls will not be a run-over side, when they play against the top European teams in the Netball Europe Open Championships which kicks off tomorrow in Wales.

Coach Vicky Wilson says the players have been preparing up to the standard where they can be competitive against their opponents.

“Going into the championships is another step forward on our journey towards Commonwealth Games with less than two hundred day until we compete with at those championships which is really important.”

Fiji plays Wales in its first match at 5.30pm, Friday.

The Pearls will then meet Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.
