The Fiji National Sports Commission will be biding to host the 2027 Pacific Games in Fiji.

Commission Chair Peter Mazey says they are working with relevant stakeholders to put forward a solid proposal to win the bid for 2027.

Mazey says this is in line with plans to continually host major international tournaments.

“The other big thing that we have to prepare for is, 2027 is when we were aiming to have the next Pacific Games hosted in Fiji. The bid for that will have to be done in Samoa this year. So there’s all sorts of things happening in hosting of events.”

But for now, the Sports commission is focusing on the Pacific Games in Samoa as they are hoping to send the biggest team ever in Fijian history.
