Fiji karatekas will be heading to Australia next month for the Oceania Championships.

Team Fiji captain Pita Lenoa says they will be taking a mixture of new and experienced athletes.

Lenoa says while there is medal expectations, for the new athletes it’s about gaining experience.

He adds they have been training very hard and the team members have shown dedication.

The team departs for Sydney at the end of next month.
