Fiji FA announced a 24 member extended squad two months ago to prepare for the tournament but the final team is expected to be named next week.

The extended squad has the likes of Iosefo Verevou, Filipe Baravilala, Emori Raqata, Patrick Joseph, Tevita Waranivalu and Anish Khem.

In 2010 former captain Kamal Hassan and Roy Krishna once adorned the court, but a rule change in 2015 meant footballers weren’t able to play across codes, an attempt by Fiji FA to encourage players to specialize in just one discipline, however, that rule was abandoned earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the top two teams from each group progress to the OFC Futsal Nations Cup semi-finals.

The eventual winner will be awarded direct entry to the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania.
