“Harry Heritage has been around for a long time and he’s been one of the best defenders I reckon in the country and Rajneel Singh whose made our Warriors team since 2008 but never made the national side and this year he’s forced his way into the team. All those year’s we’ve been successful against Pacific Island nations but this one has everything in it, it’s the World Series and the qualifiers to the second round so a lot on our plate and we’re working very hard to see that we are successful there."

Fiji, its fellow island nations, Australian Country and the NZ Maoris will compete for the Pacific Cup title at the National Hockey Centre in Suva next month.

Meanwhile, women’s coach Shaun Corrie is expected to name his team tonight.
