The Fiji Baseball team finished third at the Oceania under 15 Championship in New Zealand.

Fiji defeated New Caledonia by 18 runs to 2.

Fiji Baseball Development Officer Inoke Niubalavu says he was pleased with the performances of his players.

“I’m glad that our players managed to deliver well. They have never played an international baseball game but I’m happy that they managed to battle through and finished third.”

Australia who won the event will then represent the region at the under 15 World Cup in Panama.
