The Fiji Airways 7s team defeated New Zealand 17-12 in the cup final to defend the Oceania 7s championship title at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Waisea Nacuqu scored the golden point try after both sides were locked at 12-all.
Fiji’s first two tries were scored by Josua Vakurinabili and Alasio Naduva.
The Gareth Baber-coached side beat Samoa 36-7 in the semifinal.
New Zealand defeated Australia 14-5 in the other semifinal.

In the quarterfinals, Fiji defeated New Caledonia 33-0, Australia beat Tonga 19-7, New Zealand outclassed PNG 44-0 while Samoa defeated Cook Islands 19-12.
Meanwhile, Australia beat New Zealand 14-10 in the women’s final of the Oceania 7s.
Australia thrashed the Fiji Airways Fijiana 29-0 in their semifinal and New Zealand beat PNG 31-0.
The Fijiana defeated PNG 33-5 to win the third play-off.
