The Fiji Bowls team needs another $1000 with only days remaining for the Asia Pacific tournament in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The team had set an aim to collect a total of $7,000 for the upcoming international event and has successfully been raking in some kind donations from its sponsors.
Manager, Curtis Mar says they are overwhelmed at the support they had been receiving and are planning for more build ups for the bowlers.
“There’s just a few singles international bowling events and we’ve only got one man and one woman attending those events because there’s singles events and winners of our national singles so they are the only one having international outing next year.”
Mar is calling on to business sectors to step in and assist the national squad.
The team departs the country on the 17th of next month to compete at the Asia Pacific Championships, which will be held on the 24th of November to the 6th of December.
