Fiji and Japan play to a draw

The Fiji Airways Barbarians side was held 26-all by Japan in their second pool match at the Silicon Valley 7s in USA.

Fiji was leading 26-21 in the dying stages but could not hold on as the opponents capitalized.

Nacanieli Batina grabbed a brace of tries while Josua Kurinabuli and Jasa Veremalua scored a try each.

Fiji’s next match is against China at 2.10pm.

The side was thumped 29-nil by Australia earlier in the tournament.
