Fiji 7s team seeks nation's blessings ahead of the World Cup

Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says all the player have been given enough rest are should be ready for tough training ahead of the World Cup.

Baber says the extended players are well recovered from their break after the World Rugby sevens series and are being reminded of the big task ahead.

“I suppose we just got over the regeneration period. The players are back from their families in their villages are well recovered and rested and get them in and remind them what the focus is going to be over the next three weeks leading to the world cup and obviously know what the job is at hand.”

Meanwhile, both the men’s and the women’s sides presented their i-Tatau to the President Major General Retired Jioji Konrote.

Konrote has reminded the players to give their utmost best as they will be going as Fiji’s ambassadors and will be flying Fiji’s banner at the world stage.

The Rugby 7s World Cup will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of next month in San Francisco, USA.
