The Vodafone Fiji sevens squad members have been told to stay out of rugby for a month before starting training.

The team, which arrived back this morning from the Europe leg of the World Series, will not have any more international tournaments until the start of the next season in October.

Team skipper Osea Kolinisau says they have been given strict guidelines to follow by national coach Ben Ryan.

“For the time being we have been told to rest. Especially as we have a break because next season is very important as it’s the qualifier for the Olympics. So the boys know that we were told after the tournament that we needed to rest for a month and then start training again so that we can get the body right for the next season.”

Meanwhile, the team was received by sponsors Vodafone and Fiji Airways at the Nadi Airport and also handed their $20,000 bonus for the latest outing.
