Fatiaki works with Fiji Paralympics ahead of 2020 Games

Fiji Paralympic coach Fred Fatiaki have started working with his potential athletes for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Fiji Paralympic Association executive officer Joshko Wakaniyasi says they are looking beyond the Games and they are counting on Fatiaki to guide them.

“There’s a new board in place and a new vision and a new approach. We now have professional people who wants to take us on a greater heights. Athletes have started their training.”

Fatiaki coached the first Fijian and Pacific Islander to ever win a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, Iliesa Delana who he had been coaching since 2006.

Meanwhile, the first qualification event will be held in March next year.
