The Sydney Roosters have hatched a daring plan to use cult hero hit man Victor Radley as Cooper Cronk’s ‘bodyguard’ in tomorrow night’s NRL grand finale against the Storm.
Despite suffering a painful torn rotator cuff last weekend, Cronk will play if he gets through a fitness session this morning – with Radley spending the whole game by his side.
Under normal circumstances, there is no way Cronk would play the game.
But this is a grand finale and he is the Roosters’ main man – and Coach Trent Robinson is desperate to have him on board against his old team – even though he is well short of full fitness.
Roosters takes on Melbourne Storm at 9.20pm tomorrow and you can catch it live on FBC TV.
