Eight schools and more than 40 athletes will take part in the Maritime Zone at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this afternoon.

Zone coordinator, Biu Colati, says this is the first in recent years that more than three schools will be taking part in the zone.

“This zone will an interesting one because of the number of schools taking part. The athletes have also prepared well and will need to meet the qualifying times to make it to the Coke Games.”

The schools taking part in the zone are Rotuma High, Adi Moapa, Gau Secondary, Ratu Finau Secondary, Cica Secondary, Koro High School, Yasawa North and Yasayasa Moala College.

The zone will finish by 4pm.
