Drua to play Queensland Country in NRC semi-final

The Fiji Airways Drua side will play Queensland Country in the semi-final of the National Rugby Championship.

Drua finished the round robin competition on third spot with 22 points.

Vikings and Queensland finished the competition with 29 points each but the team from Canberra had the edge on point’s differential.

Drua captain, John Stewart, is aware of the uphill battle his team will face.

“It’s the playoffs. It will be do or die. We will prepare for whoever we play in the semi-finals. We will go back and rectify our mistakes. Especially our discipline and our defense but hats off to the boys for fighting till the end.”

The Drua play Queensland at 5pm on Sunday in Australia.

In the first semi-final, Canberra Vikings host Perth Spirit at 8pm on Saturday.
