Decision making is vital says Tanivula

The Flying Fijian’s execution of set pieces and kicks will have to be spot-on, if they are to beat Tonga in the last Pacific Nations Cup game this Saturday.

Defence coach Iliesa Tanivula says playing Tonga will not be a stroll in the park.

He says the Tongan players are bigger and if Fiji’s players decision making is not at its best, we could have a repeat of last year.

“The players decision making ability is something of a worry. We are working on it. We have players which can kick and we will be looking at the back three for support play. But all in all everything has to be spot-on.”

The final 22 players to face the Ikale Tahi will be announced later this afternoon.

Captain Netani Talei’s inclusion will depend on the fitness test he underwent an hour ago.

The two teams face off at 3.30pm at Churchill Park.
