Cricket Fiji is heading into its busiest season in recent times with a host of tours and competitions lined up.
National coach Shane Jurgensen says with the Korean tour to Fiji set to begin tomorrow as well as the national side’s tour to India and the East Asia Pacific qualifiers in Australia in November, the association is looking forward to exposing the local players.
“It’s a really exciting time. There is a lot of stuff happening now and it’s a really important period for us as an organization. So we will see how things will go with this tour and what’s to follow.”
There are currently 38 players in the men’s national side which will be trimmed down to 24 players after the East versus West tournament, which will begin on July 19th.
A training camp will commence following the two-match series to prepare for the India tour as well as the EAP qualifiers.
