Telecom Fijiana coaching director, Chris Cracknell is so far enjoying his term at the helm.
Only a month into the job, the former England captain says it’s been quite a challenge to help prepare a team with the Women’s World Sevens Series and Rio Olympic Games coming up.
“We’ve been in camp for eight weeks. Predominantly that was based around fitness because I know what an abundance of talent they have. In recent weeks, it’s been about making sure we put that talent together and get the right combinations.”
A 12-member Fijiana side will be named tomorrow to compete in the Oceania 7s in Auckland, New Zealand next weekend.
Fiji will compete against teams such as Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea with the winner to automatically qualify to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
