Close group delights McKee ahead of Samoa Test

The close camaraderie between players in the Vodafone Flying Fijians camp is helping build a positive team culture, says head coach John McKee.

With a number of senior players in his side, McKee has also called up some new players this season.

He says this has not been a problem at all and all were gelling together as a team.

“These are a great group of players. They really welcome new players into the fold. There are no senior players or young players around the camp. Everyone is mixing around well together and I really encourage the young players to contribute to team meetings as they come from experienced background and they have a good understanding of the game. We need to use all our minds together to make this the best team that we possibly can.”

Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians take on Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup on Saturday at 12 noon.
