Football’s Premier division league winners should also be included in the Champions League series says Tailevu Naitasiri coach Tagi Vonalagi.

Vonalagi made the comments after Tailevu Naitasiri defeated Taveuni 4-1 on penalty shootout.

He says this would be an incentive for the Premier winners and increase the level of competition.

“I just wish that they give us a chance to play in the Champions League as a motivation factor for the Premier teams from next otherwise they should not be calling this a league but a tournament.”

Meanwhile, Suva and Ba have been chosen as the only two teams this year to play in the Pillay Garments Champions League.

Suva says they still have reservations about playing at Govind Park, after the IDC debacle.
