The organizers of the 2014 Bayleys Coral Coast Sevens are hoping to attract players who want to switch their allegiance to Fiji for the next IRB Series.

Under the latest IRB ruling, all players who have played for their adopted nations can return to their home nations, provided they meet the requirements.

Coral Coast tournament director, Nick Jordan, says with national coach Ben Ryan doing his selection for Dubai and George during the event, it’s the best chance of the players to impress.

“Yeah that’s highly likely isn’t it? Because all IRB tournaments next season are Olympic qualifying events and to be really eligible for the Olympics or a new country if you thinking of changing country, you need to be playing in one of these tournaments and to be playing in those tournaments, you need to impress Ben (Ryan) at the Bayleys Coral Coast tournament. So we may well get some stars from overseas who want try out for the Olympics at our tournament.”

The Coral Coast Sevens will be held on November 13-15 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
