The mindset of people here in Fiji that this is the old people’s game. This is one of the main reasons why we don’t see young people joining. But I tell you something in other countries including Malaysia and Australia, people over 25 are hardly selected to represent the country so that’s how they get younger people to play in overseas now.”

Bowling Fiji has a number of development initiative in place to expand the sport.

Meanwhile, the nationals Coca Cola Muni Chand tournament starts tomorrow with the finals to be held on Sunday at the Suva Bowling Club.
