The Vodafone Fiji Bati will feature in the Oceania Shield next year.

The competition will feature Samoa, Papua New Guinea and Fiji

Former captain Petero Civoniceva says the three teams will be battling for a spot in the 2020 Oceania Cup.

“Pacific test matches that’s coming up in July and right it hasn’t been confirmed where they’ll play Papua New Guinea or Samoa.”

The winner of the Oceania Shield will progress to the 2020 Oceania Cup and the losing team from the Cup will compete in the Shield.

Australia, Tonga and New Zealand are currently competing in the Oceania Cup.
