Bai leads workshop to promote women in rugby

Local rugby icon Seremaia Bai has stepped in today to get more women involved in sports through a women for sports clinic for year 9 and 10 students at Jai Narayan College.

The clinic is a breakthrough for this predominately academic oriented school.

The program was made to help build on their social skills through sports like rugby and touch rugby.
Facilitator, Seremaia Bai says the program will also help the girls in their academic studies.

“The goal is trying to get more women into sporting organization in the future and not only that it is to help girls develop their social skills through sports and pressure and it can also help in their academic excellence. "

The program was attended by year 10 and year 11 students of Jai Narayan.
Bai will also be having a rugby clinic during the holidays at Albert Park in Suva
