The 2019 Coca-Cola Games officially opens

The 2019 Coca-Cola Games has finally opened at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Thirteen gold medals will be contested today on Day One of the competition.

Seven gold medals will be contested in the Boys Division while six in the Girls Division.

The competition starts at 10 this morning with finals of Junior Girls High Jump, Junior Girls Javelin, Senior Boys Shot Put, Senior Girls Long Jump, Intermediate Boys Discus and the Intermediate Girls Triple Jump.

The finals of the Intermediate Girls Discus will be held at 12.45pm.

The Girls 1500 metres final starts at 4.18pm, Sub Junior Boys 1500 metres final at 4.33pm, Junior Boys 1500 metres final at 4.48pm, Intermediate Boys 1500 metres final at 5.03pm while the last event of the day which is the Senior Boys 1500 metres will start at 5.8pm.

Meanwhile, the Sub Junior Girls 800 metres heat is currently underway.

The competition continues tomorrow and ends on Thursday.
