Athletics Fiji is now in contact with Tavua College student Yeshnil Karan.

The Coca Cola Games double gold medalist says he is not disheartened after missing out on Team Fiji for the Pacific Games.

Last Friday was the cut off day for all Pacific games squad and Athletics Fiji has earlier said that Karan failed to attend one of the national trials.

But the Tavua College golden boy says he respects the criteria and will continue to puruse his athletics career.

Karan says Athletics Fiji contacted him on Tuesday and he is looking forward to working closely with them.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Games will be held in Apia, Samoa from the 7^th to the 20^th of July.
