”The maritime day event itself is to celebrate the maritime industry as a whole especially to acknowledge the seafarers that’s always there on board any ship. It’s a high risk job. Most of us don’t appreciate it but seafarers know the risk that’s involved but through their training and professionalism at sea we have reduced the accidents and incidents and provided safe transportation both internationally and domestically.

The celebration will be held from 9am to mid-day.

This year’s World Maritime Day celebration theme is “Our heritage, better shipping, and better future.”
