Women's ministry works at building markets

October 23, 2012 12:11 am

The Ministry for Women is liaising with municipal councils around the country to construct a market place specifically for women from the rural areas.

Minister for women, Dr Jiko Luveni says women will be able to showcase their handicraft as well as sell them in their own markets.

“We are now working with the Labasa Town Council as well as Savusavu in constructing a market place for women. Ba and Rakiraki town now have their own facilities. Now we would want all women around the country to have access to their own markets. This will enable them to come into direct contact with their buyers and also share ideas with their other counterparts.”
