Woman remanded for an alleged grievous harm offence

A woman of Nanuku settlement in Vatuwaqa who allegedly hit her husband with a cement block has been remanded in custody.

The woman is charged with one count of grievous harm.

Its alleged last week Thursday at 7pm, the accused was drinking with some friends at a nearby neighbour’s place, following which she returned home.

It’s alleged she then had an argument with her husband and hit him with a block.

The woman is remanded in Police custody and is expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow
