Winds and rain pelts Tavua

Strong winds and heavy rain continue to cause damages in Tavua.

Tavua College has been activated as an evacuation center and people are being moved there as there are reports of damages to a lot of houses.

The rooftop of the maternity ward at Tavua Hospital has also been damaged.

Broken power lines and debris are also visible on roads and people are reminded to stay indoors and to be very careful if they are making their way to evacuation centers.
