Wakaya men’s fellowship target to raise $20k by Saturday

The Wakaya men’s fellowship travelled from the Lomaiviti group to be part of the annual Methodist church bazaar.

Wakaya men’s fellowship member Tevita Vakatale says they came with a mission.

Vakatale says the bazaar is an avenue to fundraise for major development projects for the Wakaya island circuit.

“We have target around more than $20, 000. We want to extend our Talatala’s residence at home in Batiki. So that is why we are here to fundraising”.

Vakatale also explained that Wakaya has been classified as an organic island that was evident in the variety of organic products on sale.

He adds the organic classification has enabled them to export their products to overseas markets.

“So we selling the Bula Batiki virgin coconut oil which we market right through to UK, the government of England so we are an organic island”.

Meanwhile, the solevu is into its sixth day and will features choirs from an estimate of 400 circuits throughout Fiji participating in today’s festival of praise.
