Wainidova road in Navua upgraded

More than a hundred residents living along Wainidova Road in Navua now have access to improved pavement resilience.

This as Fulton Hogan Hiways have cleared the water channels alongside the road and built up a pavement.

The work on the 1.3 kilometre road has included clearing water channels, the removal of high shoulders, as well as reshaping and increasing pavement depth with new material, to address flooding and poor road conditions.

Wainidova residents say that the previous conditions of the road was bad – with lots of potholes of many sizes, and poor drainage that caused flash flooding often when it rained.

Many living in the community of are students and with daily transportation to and from town, schools, hospital and other places.

Situated off Sadro Road, Wainidova Road is about five kilometres from Navua Town, towards Pacific Harbor.
