Vunaqoru and Koroua villages along the Sigatoka Valley had boreholes installed for safe drinking water.

This was officially commissioned by Minister for Women Mereseini Vuniwaqa.

Vuniwaqa says the boreholes will contribute to a more secure sustainable water supply for the people of these two villages.

The boreholes were made possible through a project that was headed by the British American Tobacco.

The Minister reiterated to the villagers that the Government has allocated a budget of over $300 million to the Water Authority to continue to provide quality drinking water and waste water services to all Fijians.
