Usamate on-hand for USP orientation

The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Disaster Management and Meteorological Services yesterday welcomed new students who will be beginning their studies at the University of the South Pacific.

While speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Jone Usamate highlighted that USP “is an institution that is uniquely placed in a region of extraordinary physical, social and economic diversity”.

To date the university has achieved 27 international accreditation and 15 international recognitions.

Meanwhile, also yesterday more than 300 first year students attended the Fiji National University’s orientation program at the College of Business, Hospitality and Tourism in Valelevu.
19-year-old student, Adi Vasemaca Gadolo says she excited and is looking forward to her classes, having enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce program with a double major in Economics and Information System.

Semester one for both USP and FNU begins on February 4th.
