Residents of Sawani, Serea, Waidina District and Namosi area are facing power disruptions from this morning due to an accident.

The Fiji Electricity Authority says a vehicle colliding with a FEA power pole caused the power outage.

Areas affected include Naqali, Viria, Bureni, Waitolu, Savu, Nawaqabena, Waidina District, Nabukaluka Road, Waivaka, Namosi, Vanuakula and Nauluvatu.

The FEA says repair on the damaged power pole is in progress and is expected to be completed by this evening.

Drivers have been urged to exercise caution while driving to avoid damage to FEA assets which may result in power outages.
