Two officers questioned in relation to Totogo murder

Criminal Investigations Department officers are currently questioning two police officers who were allegedly involved in the arrest of the 26-year-old man who died after being allegedly assaulted by police officers last month.

The two are being questioned and no one has been arrested or charged as yet.

The case has been classified as murder.

The victim was allegedly assaulted while police were attending to a report of a disturbance outside a nightclub on the 2nd of September.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho maintains the Fiji Police Force has no place for officers who abuse their authority and will not hesitate to remove anyone found to be doing so.
