Two new Members of Parliament have been sworn into the House of Representatives.

Government Matai Akoula replaces Sanjeet Patel who resigned from parliament last year.

Mohammed Abedean, a businessman by profession takes over the seat left vacant by former MP and now President, Major General Joji Konrote.

Both Akoula and Abedean gave their maiden speeches this morning.
