It is alleged that seconds later he and three others armed with a cane knife stormed into the reception area, where they threatened and robbed the receptionist.

It is alleged that they entered one of the doctor’s examination room where they threatened the doctor and a patient before stealing a mobile phone, backpacks and the receptionist’s personal belongings.

A call was made to the Valelevu Police Station and all operational officers were alerted of the incident.

The Southern Division Taskforce team that was near Laqere headed towards the area and based on information gathered at the scene, they pursued the suspects on foot while another group pursued the suspects in a vehicle.

The three were arrested at Salagi Housing within 15 to 20 minutes of the report being received and all items believed to have been stolen were recovered.
