FWRM Executive Director Nalini Singh says the prevalence of violence against women and girls in Fiji continues to be a concern and there is a need for a collective effort to raise awareness and advocate for change.

FWRM’s recent 3-year analysis on sexual violence against women and girls found that the average age of victim/survivors of rape cases was less than 17 years old from 2016 to 2018.

The workshop was aimed at empowering community leaders and trainers to advocate for women’s access to justice and share the information and knowledge back to their respective communities.

The TOT brought together 12 participants from the North, West and Central division including representatives from several NGOs.
